STUDENTS are being targeted by fraudsters trying to con them out of their student loans.

It comes just weeks before the first instalments of cash are due to hit thousands of undergraduate bank accounts ahead of the new academic year.

The Student Loans Company warned a new wave of phishing emails – asking for personal information – have been reported.
