Embattled Biggins flees to Glasgow
UNDER-FIRE entertainer Christopher Biggins is lying low in Glasgow following his controversial eviction from reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother.
The 67-year-old was forced to apologise after making a tasteless comment on the Channel 5 program.
He checked in to the plush Hotel Du Vin in the city’s West End last week, where he has been keeping a low profile.
He said: “I’ve been made a scapegoat. I’ve been stitched up like a kipper.
“Thankfully people on the whole have been nice to me and I love Scotland.
“I’m very much having a lovely time here with my friends.”
It’s believed Biggins has also spent time at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
