Drink-drive resignatio­n

SWEDEN’S minister for higher education has been forced to resign after being caught drink-driving.

Aida Hadzialic told a news conference she was stopped on Thursday evening by police in the southern city of Malmo.

She faces a sentence of up to six months in prison for the offence.

Born in Bosnia, she became Sweden’s first Muslim minister in 2014 at the age of 27.
