Tommy’s gun ho

MAVERICK SNP MP Tommy Sheppard clearly isn’t happy his party has hoovered up the majority of votes in Scotland and is after even more.

The Edinburgh East MP has taken the unconventional step of writing to the Labour and Lib Dem branches in his constituency to see if he can attend their meetings to hear what his rivals are talking about.

The news has been met with healthy scepticism by the Lib Dems and Labour.

One Labour source said: “Tommy can attend all Labour Party meetings if he so wishes. All he has to do is become a member like everyone else.”
