Time to get behind the Hoops
THIS won’t be popular. But fans of all Scottish teams should be getting behind Celtic in their attempt to capture a Champions League place when they go to Israel on Tuesday night.
I say that because we need Brendan Rodgers’ side to take their place alongside Europe’s best for the sake of the co-efficient. We need it for the reputation of our game outside these shores.
With a 5-2 lead over Hapoel Be’er Sheva – from what was a thrilling first leg at Celtic Park last Wednesday night – I think they should be OK.
They have pace and power and enough up front to suggest they might even sneak another goal.
