George’s Marvellous Medicine

George is staying with his mean grandma while his parents are away and decides to concoct a medicine to replace the old lady’s usual medication.

Her belly catches fire and she grows the size of the house, which excites George’s returning dad who thinks he can make a fortune selling the potion to farmers for their livestock.

A notice at the beginning of the book warning readers not to attempt to make their own marvellous medicine was largely ignored!
