‘Militants’ shot dead

POLICE in Bangladesh killed three suspected militants, including an alleged mastermind of an attack on a cafe last month that left 20 people dead.

Counter-terrorism official Monirul Islam said police raided a two-storey house in Narayanganj, near the capital Dhaka, early yesterday and killed the suspects.

The Islamic State group claimed it was behind the cafe attack.
