Not long until Aiden’s return

NOT long now until Poldark is back on our screens and I cannot wait to see the latest instalment with Aidan Turner back as Captain Ross.

It seems strange now to think that I was concerned it wouldn’t live up to the ’70s version that I recall with such fondness.

This new reboot has been a triumph and not just because of the much-discussed topless shots of Mr Turner scything and bringing in the harvest.

It’s a cracking story, beautifully acted and has sumptuous production values.

I’m counting down the days.
