Worrying statistics
YOUR feature on twins last week was timely as the Scottish Maternity and Neonatal Services Review will be published in September.
A report by Twins And Multiple Births Association ( Tamba) and the National Childbirth Trust found multiple birth babies make up just 3% of babies born, but account for almost 7% of stillbirths and more than 16% of neonatal deaths in Scotland.
We hope this review in some way addresses these worrying figures. Keith Reed, Chief Executive of Tamba, www.tamba.org.uk
