Grant Holt scoring for Hibs. HIBS moved to the top of the Scottish Championship with an emphatic 4-0 home win over Morton sustaining their 100% league record.

Andrew Shinnie, Grant Holt and Brian Graham all opened their accounts in Hibs colours in front of 14,508 at Easter Road.

Jason Cummings also netted to make it six in five appearances for the in-demand attacker.

Easter Road boss Neil Lennon commented: “It was a superb performance. That has been coming. We are getting better.”

Dundee United threw away a twogoal lead against Raith Rovers at Tannadice.

Ray McKinnon’s side netted first when Willo Flood struck a halfclearance from Scott Fraser’s freekick with the outside of his foot to beat Conor Brennan from 20 yards.

It was 2-0 when United were awarded a penalty when Declan McManus brought down Flood and Cammy Smith calmly convetred.

Raith did not let their heads go down and Jordan Thompson brought the Kirkcaldy side back into the game before half-time with a superb strike.

Then Kevin McHattie grabbed a sensational equaliser.

Falkirk faced falling a daunting 10 points behind Hibs until sub Lee Miller bundled home a winner in the 86th minute against visiting Dumbarton to give the Bairns their first league win of the season.

“Today wasn’t a perfect performance but I don’t think anybody could say we didn’t deserve to win that game,” argued manager Peter Houston.

Just one goal separated hosts Dunfermline and Queen of the South.

On the stroke of half-time, Andy Dowie nodded across goal and Derek Lyle had the simple task of heading home from close range to give Queens the win.

Just after the hour, the Pars’ Jason Talbot received a straight red card for a foul on Kyle Jacobs.

Tom Walsh headed a last-minute equaliser to earn St Mirren a point just as Ayr looked set for their first league win of the season.

Ayr had deservedly taken a 14thminute lead when Jamie Adams rose to head home a free-kick from Brian Gilmour.
