START WEIGHT: 15 stone 5lb WEIGHT NOW: 14 stone 3lb LOST: 1 stone 2lb

“I’VE done really well on this diet – and been really pleased with the results.

“Halfway through I’d lost 10.5lb and that gave me the motivation to keep going.

“For me, it was always about portion control and I think I’ve really got to grips with that now.

“I’ve tried most of the diets out there and they’re all effective in the first few weeks…it’s the keeping it going that means the pounds stay off.

“I didn’t need to but made the choice to cut out bread and baked goods, and I think that was a very good choice. I am missing the bread (and the scones and the pies and the pastries) but I’m eating more vegetables, fruit and salad.

“And it’s relatively easy to fit in with my busy lifestyle which is great.

“I’ve been Slimmer of the Week for two weeks running and that’s a very welcome boost to keep going. I think by Christmas I’ll be seeing some really substantia­l results.”
