SAINTS ALIVE – WITH KEEPERS
ST JOHNSTONE boss Tommy Wright reckons the Perth club’s future is in safe hands.
While Northern Ireland cap Alan Mannus has retained his grip on the No. 1 jersey after the Euros, he faces a serious challenge from Zander Clark, who impressed in a string of games after the split last term.
Now highly-rated 20-yearold Mark Hurst has been snapped up by League Two East Fife on loan until January after being called up into Ricky Sbragia’s Under-21 squad to face Macedonia and the Ukraine.
Wright said: “We are well placed for goalkeepers. There won’t be many clubs in that position.”
