DURING the election campaign,
Westminster felt empty and soulless. But it has been a hive of activity this week with the excited new MPs arriving en masse.
Watching them trying to find their way around – weighed down with armfuls of booklets – reminded me of the first days of sixth form or university.
While it’s clearly a daunting transition, most seem raring to get stuck in.
And although it’s now much harder to find a table at lunch, it’s definitely more fun with the corridors buzzing once more.
