Ashes hopefuls Mark Stoneman and Ben Foakes as well as England’s limited-overs players Jason Roy and Tom Curran have all signed contract extensions at Surrey.

Stoneman is likely to open the batting alongside Alastair Cook for England this winter, while uncapped wicketkeeper-batsman Foakes is among the 16-man touring party heading to Australia.

Big-hitting batsman Roy and seam bowler Curran could also be travelling Down Under this winter as part of the white-ball cricket that follows the Ashes, and the quartet have all committed to Surrey until at least the end of the 2020 season.

Stoneman, who has played in England’s last three Tests, told Surrey’s official website: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my first season with the club.

“I believe over the next few years I can be part of a successful period in Surrey CCC’s history.”
