The Queen Is Dead (Deluxe Edition)

The Smiths When Morrissey lamented the “re-issue! re-package!” culture of the music industry on The Smiths’ swansong album three decades ago, he perhaps didn’t anticipate seeing the 31st anniversary release of his band’s seminal work.

This deluxe edition comes with plenty of extra tracks, 13 of which feature on the sonically delightful addition, Live In Boston. It also has demos and alternative versions.

That scraping noise is The Smiths’ barrel, but it’s the gift that keeps on giving.
