BSC GLASGOW crashed in seven goals against struggling DALBEATTIE STAR in the Lowland League Cup. Martin Grehan hit the opener in 24 minutes and then added two more in the next nine minutes for his hat-trick. Jack Smith headed the fourth in the 63rd minute and, two minutes later, Lewis Sloan scored for Star with a 25-yard free-kick. Smith went on to hit three more to bring his tally to four.

EAST KILBRIDE left it late against EAST STIRLINGSH­IRE and it was only an 83rd-minute goal that separated them in a game that saw Kilby have five of the six players booked during the game. The winner came when sub Ross Mcneil set up Sean Winter to hit the winner.

EDUSPORT ACADEMY got a 4-2 penalty win over EDINBURGH UNI after the game ended 1-1 after 120 minutes. Edu went ahead with a Maxine Oulaitoh in nine minutes, but, within two minutes, Edinburgh were level when David Maskrey shot home. After extra time, it took penalties to separate the sides and Edu go through to the next round.

GALA FAIRYDEAN ROVERS were 3-0 winners over HAWICK ROYAL ALBERT, who have been relegated from the Lowland. But it took them until the 43rd minute to break down the visitors defence, with Liam Chambers scoring. Then, in the 73rd minute, Gavin Brown got No. 2. With 10 minutes left, Craig Haugh made sure with a third goal.

SELKIRK beat WHITEHILL WELFARE 2-0 thanks to a goal in each half. Phil Addison broke the deadlock on the half-hour mark and Sean Mckirdy got a second after 69 minutes.

STIRLING UNI beat CIVIL SERVICE STROLLERS 4-2 after extra time, but they had to fight back after Strollers twice took the lead with Jack Downie putting the visitors ahead in the 20th minute. Alex Webb equalised on the half-hour mark, but Downie restored the lead on 31 minutes. Dominic Slattery then forced the game into extra time when he equalised in 76 minutes. In the first half of extra time, Craig Brown put Uni ahead for the first time and, with two minutes left, Kieron Hall got a fourth.

CUMBERNAUL­D COLTS thrashed VALE OF LEITHEN 6-0. They went in at the interval three ahead through Paul Nash in the eighth minute and Sean Brown and Craig Holmes added two more before the turn. Stephen O’neill hit two goals late on in the 74th and 85th minutes, with Michael Wallace getting one inbetween.
