Fans fizzing as season kicks off early

-

Fans were left fuming after missing the early start of the match between St Mirren and Dundee yesterday.

Huge queues and the game starting five minutes earlier than usual sparked anger at the turnstiles at the West End of the Paisley stadium. One fan said: “There were more than 100 fans still trying to get in as the game started early, which led to a lot of pushing and shoving as well as frayed tempers.”

Dundee fans were most affected by the issue.

Another fan, Ian Rae said: “Congratulations on winning the game but two gates for Dundee fans, huge queues to get in and you kick off five minutes early! We are customers too.”

St Mirren beat Dundee 2-1.
