A pizza too hot to Handel

-

The Varchetti family, from Detroit, thought they’d treat themselves to a takeaway pizza last week – and ended up with some bonus classical music.

As the pizza delivery boy handed over their food, he spotted a dusty old grand piano in the hallway.

He asked to try it and the family were stunned to hear a note-perfect version of the third movement of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata.

The Varchetti family filmed the performance, which became an online hit.

What makes it more remarkable is the delivery driver, 18-year-old Bryce Dudal, taught himself to play piano in only a year.

“It was a long process. You have to sit there and think and try to put it on the piano, piece by piece. I couldn’t read music back then,” he said.
