I now miss him more and more I first met my lady friend in September 1983

My dear husband had been ill for many years but his death was sudden.

My son and daughter did CPR but he was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

As time goes on, I miss him more and more.

I didn’t say goodbye or tell him I loved him.

Does he know we tried to keep him with us?

The loss of a life partner takes time to adapt and adjust to.

You will find yourself initially feeling very alone and vulnerable without having him constantly by your side to rely on.

After the loss of a loved one, we find ourselves having to carry on without them and only then do we realise their true value, which is now measured by how empty our lives seem.

These feelings are a very normal part of the grieving process and in some cases can worsen before they get better.

Stay strong and try to move forward a little at a time, taking each day as it comes.

He is well aware of the efforts made by you all in an attempt to save his physical life.

You shared your lives for many years and, through your love for one another, together you raised your children and became a loving family.

He knows how much he is loved and missed and will be waiting patiently on spirit side until that day comes when he is reunited with the family he is very much part of.

Until that day arrives, please know he is safe and settled with other family members on spirit side who love him.

while holidaying in Alston.

I was going to ask you how she passed but have since found that out on the internet.

We didn’t see each other as often as we would have liked as we lived so far apart, but we acted like two teenagers when we did get together, laughing and carrying on. She passed away in a terrible accident, all alone, in 2003.

I think of her often. Does she think of me?

No one ever dies alone. There will always be a loved one from the spirit side to collect and support them after their death.

Those close to us during our physical lives, who have since passed, will remain close to us from spirit side and are only a thought away.

They do not forget us when they pass over to the other side. They carry the many happy memories made during their physical lives.

Your lady friend will always hold a special place in your heart and you will remain very special to her.
