Plus, Steve Brown learns about different uses for hemp and Charlotte Smith reports on the impact of tourism on beauty spots.
Saving Poundstretcher Channel 4, 9pm, Mon
Documentary following Poundworld founder Chris Edwards after he was brought in by Aziz Tayub and his three sons to try to revive the fortunes of the Poundstretcher chain of discount stores.
Chris teams up with middle son Shehzad to streamline the range of products being bought, but this puts him in conflict with Aziz, who buys a huge variety of unusual and niche products.
Flying Across Britain With Arthur Williams Channel 4, 7pm, today
New series. A former Royal Marine explores Britain from the air in his 1943 single-seater aeroplane.
His journey begins in the West Country, taking in the rolling hills and open plains of Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset.
Along the way he meets fellow aviation enthusiasts and attempts a landing on a reproduction aircraft carrier.
Age Before Beauty BBC1, 9pm, Tue
What Debbie Horsfield doesn’t know about crafting compelling drama isn’t worth knowing.
She proved it with hit shows such as Playing The Field and Cutting It; breathed new life into historical drama Poldark, and has now come up with the TV equivalent of an airport page-turner.
It doesn’t hurt that she has a dream cast, with Polly Walker and Robson Green on top form. In the latest offering, Bel hopes Wes’s infidelity will be short-lived and hatches a plan to win him back.
Unforgotten ITV, 9pm, today
What has been obvious to viewers since episode one finally dawns on detectives Cassie and Sunny – the four men suspected of killing Hayley have conspired to cover up what they were doing on the night of the millennium.
Meanwhile, as disturbing information about Chris Lowe’s life is uncovered, Pete Carr’s DNA is discovered in the church where a break-in took place on the night in question.
Cassie, however, is distracted by her father’s memory problems.
Paul O’grady’s Little Heroes ITV, 8pm, Wed
The presenter has dedicated himself to promoting the work of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in recent years, but now he’s turning his attention to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
In the opening episode Paul meets Mackenzie, a 13-year-old who hopes a plastic surgeon will be able to create him a new ear, while siblings Emily and Luke describe living with cystic fibrosis.
The Real Marigold Hotel BBC 1, 9pm, Wed
Selina Scott, Susan George, Stephanie Beacham, Ian and Janette Tough, Syd Little, Peter Dean, Bob Champion and Stanley Johnson embrace life in the city of Udaipur in India.
They receive a grand invitation from the Maharanah and are invited to mingle with Udaipur’s high society at the City Palace.
The week ends with a trip to one of India’s most spectacular and holiest cities.
Cuckoo BBC 1, 10.45pm, Mon (Northern Ireland, Tue, 11.20pm)
The latest chapter of the popular sitcom is finally about to hatch, and all the signs suggest it will be as good as ever.
For newcomers to Cuckoo, the series stars Taskmaster himself Greg Davies and Cold Feet’s Helen Baxendale as married couple Ken and Lorna Thompson, the parents of Dylan (Tyger Drew-honey) and Rachel (Esther Smith).
It all starts well as Ken is nominated for the prestigious Lichfield Lawyer of the Year award.
Unfortunately, Jane has been nominated too and he is convinced she is going to win.
Can Lorna think of a way to fix it so her husband comes out on top?
Some of the Thompson brood may decide to fly the nest and, no doubt, feathers will fly.
Inventing The Impossible: The Big Life Fix BBC 2, 8pm, Thur
Twelve-year-old Pollyanna lost a leg in an accident when she was two, but dreams of being a ballerina.
Yusuf Mohammed takes up the challenge to build her a new prosthetic with the required movement in the foot.
And Akram Hussein tries to come up with a solution for a 73-year-old deaf man whose nerve endings are too damaged to have a hearing aid.
Gardeners’ World BBC2, 9pm, Fri
Monty Don looks at how his autumn crops are faring as well as giving tips on how to keep the garden looking at its best.
Adam Frost returns to Leicester where he has been helping to create a garden from scratch on a new-build estate, Frances Tophill celebrates the summer harvest on her shared allotment, and Mark Lane takes a look at the Mediterranean planting On the Isle of Wight.
The programme also visits Burton-on-trent, Staffordshire.
