Kicked into touch

Members of Blantyre Soccer Academy have been left “perplexed and bewildered” after their plans to take over a former community hall were put on hold.

The Academy was to buy Rowans Hall in Blantyre from South Lanarkshire Council for £1.

But last week councillors could not agree to the terms of the deal and halted the move.
