Film shoot in capital
Filming for a new adaptation of The Sopranos novel by Alan Warner has begun in Edinburgh.
Scottish director Michael Caton-jones bought the movie rights for the book 20 years ago, and plans to do the entire shoot in Scotland.
The first scenes were filmed in Charlotte Square in Edinburgh on Friday.
The film is about a choir of Catholic schoolgirls who are in Edinburgh for a music competition but they are more interested in drinking, partying and hooking up with boys.
