School cuts fury

Falkirk Council came under fire from parents after it was revealed the authority is looking to make cuts of £29 million to local schools over the next five years.

The warning came in letters sent home to parents warning of “unprecedented cuts” ahead which might involve teacher redundancies. But councillors said they had no knowledge of the letters being sent out.
