LINLITHGOW ROSE beat PRESTON ATHLETIC with a late clincher. Goals from Ross Barbour and Tommy Coyne in the first half hour put Rose in the driving seat. Preston pulled one back in 35 minutes, but goals for Rose from Owen Ronald and Danny Smith made it 4-1 at half-time. Preston then scored twice in 70 and 73 minutes before Ronald struck again in the late on to make it 5-3.

CROSSGATES were never troubled by DUNIPACE and eased to a 5-1 victory. Lyall Shaw gave them a first-minute lead and a penalty from Scott Lawrie made it two in six minutes. Shaw struck again in 30 minutes, with Dunipace reducing the leeway. But Primrose made sure with another two goals from Scott Hynd and Blair Clark in the second half.

BONNYRIGG are through to the third round of the Qualifying Cup after a 7-2 home win over OAKLEY. Alan Horne gave them the lead in 14 minutes, then a double from Lee Currie made it 3-0 at half-time.they added another three early in the second half through an own goal, Keith Lough and Louis Swanson. James Mcateer pulled one back before Neil Martyniuk made it seven for Rose in 79 minutes. Lee Dawson then replied with a second for the Fifers late on.

TRANENT are through to the fourth round after a 2-1 win over BO’NESS. Kayne Paterson gave Tranent the lead in 33 minutes, then Marty Wright levelled from a penalty. Tranent were reduced to 10 men, but grabbed a winner through a Kenny Fisher penalty in 65 minutes.

PENICUIK are also through after a 3-1 win over BROXBURN. Lumbert Kataleza gave Penicuik the lead in 21 minutes and he swept in a second in 29 minutes. Arran Ponton made it three just after the break, with Broxburn’s consolatio­n coming five minutes from time.
