CCTV man isn’t Corrie
A man captured on CCTV and believed by a missing airman’s mother to be her son has identified himself to detectives.
Police viewed the footage during their investigation into Corrie Mckeague’s disappearance from Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, in September 2016.
His mother Nicola Urquhart said the footage cast doubt on the police theories over her son’s whereabouts.
But police said the man captured on CCTV had been traced.
Mr Mckeague, from Dunfermline, Fife, was aged 23 when he went missing on a night out.
Corrie had been stationed at RAF Honington, around 10 miles from Bury St Edmunds.
