A family-owned Forres distillery on Moray’s famous Malt Whisky Trail. Founded in 1898, it has a visitor centre.
CARDHU
The spiritual home of Johnnie Walker, this distillery was founded by Helen Cumming in 1824.

This historic distillery near Forres no longer produces whisky, but it’s a great place to learn about the history of distilling.
GLEN GRANT
Set in lovely gardens, launched in 1840 by brothers. Its master distiller has worked at Glen Grant for half a century.
STRATHISLA
Built in 1786 on the banks of the river Isla, Strathisla is the oldest continually operating distillery on the Malt Whisky Trail.
GLENLIVET
Founded in Ballindalloch in 1824 by farmer George Smith, their whisky was said to have been enjoyed by Charles Dickens.
SPEYSIDE COOPERAGE
Based in Craigellachie, this cooperage is the epicentre of the whisky industry’s cask manufacturing.
GLENFIDDICH
Dufftown is home to the world’s most-awarded single malt. It is run by the fifth generation of founder William Grant’s family.

This charming small distillery in Elgin has been has been distilling on the banks of the River Lossie since 1897.
MACALLAN
One of the first distillers in Scotland to be legally licensed. It has become one of the world’s top single malts.
