Irons in the fire
Former Gretna, Morton and Stenhousemuir manager, David Irons, will need to serve a six-match ban if he returns to football after admitting a misconduct charge brought by the SFA.
Irons was dismissed during Gretna 2008’s Lowland League match against Kelty Hearts on October 6 for kicking out in the dugout after one of his players was sent off.
Irons resigned from Gretna at the end of last month, and the ban will need to be enforced should the 57-yearold take on a new job.
