Once again, Steven Wren is writing, directing and starring in Inverness’ panto as Dame Trot.

Ross Allan returns to play Jack, with Marj Hogarth as the Fairy.

Joining the team this year are Chris O’mara as the villainous Foosty Mcscunner, Graham Mackay-bruce as the King and Jennifer Neil as Jill.

Ross says he loves playing the title character, although the beanstalk has taken a little getting used to – considerin­g he’s scared of heights!

Papillion

Forty-five years on from the much-loved original starring Steve Mcqueen and Dustin Hoffman comes a new version, based on the best-selling autobiogra­phic books, Papillon and Banco.

Henri “Papillon” Charrière is a safecracke­r who is framed for murder and condemned to life in the notorious penal colony on Devil’s Island.

Determined to regain his freedom, he forms an alliance with quirky convicted counterfei­ter Louis Dega who, in exchange for protection, agrees to finance Papillon’s escape.

Glenn Miller Orchestra

The UK’S most renowned big band swings you back in time playing Glenn Miller’s arrangemen­ts of wartime chart toppers and hits from the ’40s, directed by legendary band leader Ray Mcvay.

Special guests The Polka Dot Dolls perform a tribute to The Andrews Sisters and guest vocalists are Mark Porter and Catherine Sykes.

Among the tracks to get the toes tapping are Strike Up The Band, Moonlight Serenade, Tuxedo Junction and In The Mood.
