Third teen arrested

A third teenager has been charged following a robbery in Edinburgh in which an elderly woman had her handbag stolen.

The 79-year-old had her handbag stolen from her in Newtoft Street on Tuesday January 8 and was assisted by a member of the public. Her bag and its contents were recovered.

In addition, to the arrest of the 16 and a 14-year-old on Friday, a further 16-yearold male has now been arrested and held in custody to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
