BROUGHTY ATHLETIC were the top scorers of the day when they swamped COUPAR ANGUS 18-0. Ross Mccord led the way with five of their goals and he was closely followed by Kevin Milne with four, while Graham Hay bagged a hat-trick. Paul Mclellan and Marc Scott both got doubles with Stewart Mcconnachie and Greig Mcnaughton completing the rout.

LOCHEE UNITED remain undefeated after holding off a spirited display by BLAIRGOWRIE to win 2-0. Blair made a bright start, but the Bluebells opened the scoring in 15 minutes when Grant Lawson curled a shot into the top corner from 20 yards. They doubled their lead in 35 minutes when Kevin Buchan bulleted home a header from a Dougie Cameron corner. The second half was a bit of a non-event with neither side creating many chances.

One of the day’s best results came from LOCHEE HARP, who turned on the style in the second half to beat TAYPORT 3-1. Dayle Robertson gave the Fifers the lead from a penalty in 15 minutes, but Harp took over in the second half, with Lloyd Young netting a double against his former club. It was another former Canniepairt player, Connaire Connelly, who put the final nail in their coffin with a third.

FORFAR WEST END beat BRECHIN VICS 4-0, with Craig Batchelor netting just before the interval. Jamie Montgomery and a double from Mike Mcilravey sealed the win in the second half.

EAST CRAIGIE turned in an impressive performance and were well worth their 4-1 win over DUNDEE VIOLET. Nik Mann, Andy Mcdonald, Adam Brown and Rory Faulner were on the mark for the Shipbuilders. Violet’s consolation came from a Sean Tucker penalty.

KIRRIE THISTLE shocked CARNOUSTIE when they hit back to win 4-1 in a Super League encounter. Sam Simpson gave the Gowfers the lead from a penalty in 17 minutes, but they were outclassed in the second half. Ryan Kerrigan levelled in 57 minutes, then a double from Dale Reid and Paul Sludden sealed the points.

DOWNFIELD were three down in the first eight minutes at THORNTON thanks to strikes from Gary Thomson, Ben Anthony and Adam Drummond. The Spiders pulled one back through Jordan Garden in 17 minutes, but Anthony added a fourth for Hibs in 28 minutes. Jordan Hornby pulled another back for the Dundee side in 84 minutes, but, a minute later, Anthony completed his hat-trick and a 5-2 win for Hibs.
