This exhibition showcases the children’s author’s notebooks and manuscript­s that have become classics, including War Horse, Private Peaceful, Kensuke’s Kingdom and Farm Boy.

Also displayed are photos and correspond­ences that chronicle his creative process and career.

A soundscape introduces the themes in his storytelli­ng such as war and animals. A replica of his creative caravan is reconstruc­ted so visitors can imagine, daydream and pen story ideas.

Mary defies pressure to remarry and instead returns to Scotland to reclaim her throne, but Scotland and England fall under the rule of the compelling Queen Elizabeth (Margot Robbie).

Navarra String Quartet

Since its formation in 2002 at the Royal Northern College of Music, the Navarra Quartet has built an internatio­nal reputation as a dynamic and poetic string quartet.

The members have won prizes at internatio­nal competitio­ns and played in famous venues such as the Wigmore Hall, the Concertgeb­ouw in Amsterdam and the Sydney Opera House. They recently completed a three-year residency at the Birmingham Conservato­ire.
