Incredible Corrine is so inspiring

-

Amid the doom and gloom of depressing January and angry politics, what a ray of sunshine the inspirational Corinne Hutton is.

She had been waiting for a double hand transplant for five years and, just last week, finally underwent the surgery.

She lost her feet and hands in 2013 after suffering acute pneumonia and sepsis, which nearly killed her.

But instead of letting this devastating twist of fate ruin her life, Corrine has devoted her life to helping support other amputees.

She was the first ever quadruple amputee to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, an incredible achievement most of us couldn’t even contemplate.

As well as taking up skiing and ballroom dancing, the former businesswoman from Lochwinnoch has raised more than £700,000 for charity.

There is no self-pity, and no regrets, just a determination to live life to the full.

What an inspiration she is. Speaking from her hospital bed, Corinne, typically, thought of others first, thanking the donor’s family, promising not to waste a moment of what they’d given her.

You can be sure she won’t.
