I got carried away, admits jubilant Nuno

-

Boss Nuno Espirito Santo admitted he got caught up in the moment after he was dismissed for celebrating Wolves’ late show in their thrilling 4-3 win over Leicester.

Diogo Jota settled a stunning game in injury time when he completed his hat- trick to see Nuno race on to the pitch and celebrate with his players.

Jota and Ryan Bennett had fired Wolves into an early 2- 0 lead, before Demarai Gray and Conor Coady’s own goal levelled for Leicester.

Jota made it 3- 2, but Wes Morgan equalised with three minutes left only for Jota to complete his treble and spark pandemonium at Molineux.

Nuno was then dismissed by referee Chris Kavanagh.

Nuno said: “The law is clear. There’ s no explanation. After all the situations which passed in the game to finish like that is tremendous happiness for everyone, I’m no exception.”

Jota became the first Wolves player to score a hat- trick in the top flight since John Richards in 1977 – in a 3-0 win against Leicester.

Leicester boss Claude Puel was left with his head in his hands when Nuno sprinted on to the pitch to celebrate Jota’s winner.

Defeat was Leicester’s third in a row and Puel criticised his players’ game management, saying: “We were naive, a lot. It’s a big shame, with the quality we can show, to lose all these points.”

Ralph Has en huttl hailed James WardProwse’s never- say- die spirit to muscle his way back into a pivotal role at Southampton.

Ward-Pr ow se’ s thunderbolt strike sealed Saints’ 2- 1 win over Everton at St Mary’s.

“I think he showed how fantastic he is physically and also that he can score goals for us ,” said Hasenhuttl.

Ward- Prowse’s fine strike settled a few nerves after a scoreless first-half, before Andre Gomes put through his own net.

Gylfi Sigurdsson’ s added time finish set up a tense finale, but Saints held on.

Sean Dyche believes Burnley should have taken all three points at Watford after Chris Wood’s injury-time strike was controversially chalked off for offside inn their 0-0 draw.

“I am not jumping up and down about it because it is tight, and the officials were good, but they got that wrong,” said Dyche.

Manuel P elle gri ni claimed Marko Arnautovic “has his head on another issue” after the player was left out of West Ham’s squad for the 2-0 loss at Bournemouth, with Callum Wilson and Josh King on target.

Austria international Arnautovic is keen on a big-money move to China and Pellegrini said: “As a manager you must choose the players that work better during the week. Marko has his head on another issue so I thought it was not a good idea for him to play.”
