Bank on a Dark Miracle

-

Marco Botti’sdark Miracle won with something in hand at Wolverhampton last month, and can repeat the trick at Salisbury.

The Mukhadram colt isn’t being too highlytried for his handicap debut, having been given a mark of 78, after a three-length stroll.

He made the running, quickening clear into the straight and wasn’t extended to win, eased down by Daniel Muscutt.

He keeps the ride today and, from stall seven, should have a sporting chance of getting the lead and dominating the contest.

Royal Star has box 12 to contend with in the maiden, but with a mile-and-a-half to travel, he should be able to find a position.

The See The Stars filly was too keen for her own good last time, so perhaps tucking in behind will help Jason Watson settle her.

Third that day over ten furlongs, and a decent fourth on debut, gives Roger Charlton’s a solid chance today.

In the staying handicap, Philip Hobbs’ Gumball is likely to get the better of Paul Nicholls’ Scaramanga.

Gumball achieved a 144 hurdling rating, then won two novice events on the level. SELECTIONS
