Peterhead were denied being crowned champions as Peter Macdonald struck a stoppage-time leveller.

The Blue Toon started well and, after 11 minutes, Rory Mcallister’s low cross fizzed towards the back post where Jack Leitch shot narrowly wide.

Ryan Dow and Mcallister both went close before the hosts took the lead after 37 minutes, Leitch side-footing home.

The home side should have doubled their advantage in the 49th minute.

A lovely ball in from the right by Jamie Stevenson found Leitch but his 12-yard effort drifted beyond the back post. Then Mcallister glanced a header wide. However, Peterhead were stunned deep in stoppage time when veteran sub Mcdonald netted for Stirling.
