■ INVERURIE LOCOS proved too strong for TURRIFF, beating their hosts 6-1. First-half sub Callum Dingwall fired the Red and Blacks ahead on 21 minutes. Mark Souter’s close-range header made it 2-0, and Andy Hunter netted No. 3. Cammy Bowden then pulled one back from close in. In the second half, Eric Watson, later to be sent off, scored from a similar range, then Locos’ Neil Gauld hit a double.

■ Hosts DEVERONVAL­E weren’t troubled in their 4-0 victory over HUNTLY after scoring within 90 seconds when Craig Dorrat fouled Ross Archibald in the box and Grant Noble stroked home the penalty. Jody Munro, Michael Dunn after and Robert Scott netted the others.

■ FORMARTINE UNITED returned from WICK with a 5-0 scoreline, the highlight a Scott Lisle hat-trick. Andrew Greig and Gary Mcgowan completed the scoring.

■ It was no contest at FRASERBURG­H as the hosts put CLACHNACUD­DIN to the sword 6-0. Sean Butcher, Scott Barbour (2), Aidan Combe and Paul Campbell (2) were the scorers.

■ Steve Mackay’s BRORA took the lead on the half-hour when a low right-footed effort from Paul Brindle squeezed past two defenders on it’s way to the right-hand side of Stuart Knight’s goal. FORRES equalised through skipper Stuart Soane early in the second half, but Jordan Macrae and a Kyle Macleod penalty sealed the win and Brora’s 100% record.

■ BUCKIE THISTLE were in scintillat­ing form in their 8-2 success at KEITH. Scott Adams, Sam Robertson, Craig Cowie, Kieran Adams, Sam Urquhart (2), Caz Murray and Scott Graham hit the great eight, with Jamie Mcallister and Cammy Keith (pen) netting for the hosts.

■ ROTHES returned from LOSSIEMOUT­H with a 3-0 win, Ally Sutherland, substitute Gary Kerr and Ben Johnstone netting.

■ Homesters STRATHSPEY THISTLE picked up the points against luckless FORT WILLIAM, who missed a penalty after two minutes, Roddy Kennedy failing to convert. James Fraser and wily old fox Craig Macmillan netting for Strathspey.
