All Peaks, no troughs

-

Series five of the award-laden show will pick up again tonight after charting the rise and falls of the Birmingham crime clan

SERIES ONE

Set in 1919, we join the Peaky Blinders as they accidently steal a shipment of guns, bringing them under the scrutiny of Inspector Chester Campbell, a man on a mission to clean up Birmingham.

The family have also waged war on powerful gangster Billy Kimber, as they aim to turn their illegal book-making business legitimate.

SERIES TWO

Picking up two years later, Tommy and the Shelby clan want to expand their empire, starting a feud with London-based gangster Charles Sabini, with Tommy seeking help from Alfie Solomons, played by Tom Hardy.

The dramatic events reach climax at the Epsom racecourse on Derby Day.

SERIES THREE

On the day of Tommy’s wedding, the family come together to celebrate on his vast estate.

Their vow to leave their criminal past behind doesn’t last long, and the Peaky Blinders are soon drawn into a war with Italian family, the Changrettas, while also becoming embroiled in a Russian jewel heist.

SERIES FOUR

Estranged from his family and stuck in a spiral of grief, Tommy must bring the Peaky Blinders together to fight off the threat from vengeful Luca Changretta, played by Adrian Brody.

The gang face losing everything as the war escalates, but ultimately Tommy outsmarts his foes. The series ends with Tommy becoming Labour MP for Birmingham South.
