In the East Region, CARNOUSTIE are still the front-runners in the North Super League after a convincing 5-0 away win against SCONE THISTLE. Ryan Dignan broke the deadlock in 25 minutes and Sam Simpson and Brian Clark added another two before the break. Simpson missed a chance to make it four when he hit the post from a penalty, but Paul Mclellan and pat Martin added two more in the last five minutes.

Tony Mcaulay got his first win as NORTH END manager when the Dokens beat FORFAR WEST END 4-2. Gary Sutherland gave the Dokens the lead in 22 minutes, but the hosts replied quickly with an equaliser from Gillespie. The Dokens finished strongly with three goals in the last 15 minutes. Sutherland and Frankie Devine made it 3-1 before West End pulled one back, only for Sutherland to complete his hat-trick.

LOCHEE UNITED were off song again as they lost 2-1 to DOWNFIELD, who made it three wins in a row. Lee Cameron gave the Spiders the lead in 14 minutes and, two minutes into the second half, Jordan Colquhoun doubled their lead from a penalty. Dougie Cameron gave the Bluebells hope when he reduced the leeway from a penalty, but they couldn’t force an equaliser.

BROUGHTY ATHLETIC were made to work hard for their 2-1 win over KIRRIE THISTLE. After a goalless first half, Bryan Duell gave the hosts the lead, only for Ryan Winter to level. Derryn Kesson grabbed a late winner for the Fed.

TAYPORT notched up their first league win of the season with an emphatic 4-1 win over LUNCARTY thanks to a double from Dayle Robertson and singles from Ryan Suttie and Jamie Gill.

In the Premier League, BLAIRGOWRI­E were too hot for FORFAR ALBION, with Gary Axworthy netting a hat-trick in their 5-0 win. Cammy Mcmanus and Ben Middleton were their other scorers.

EAST CRAIGIE were even more convincing winners, hammering COUPAR ANGUS 8-1. George Johnson was their top scorer with four of the goals, with Ben Garrock notching a brace and Rory Faulkner and Paul Moran also found the back of the Coupar net.

Reigning Mcbookie. com Premiershi­p Champions AUCHINLECK TALBOT enjoyed a 2-0 success down at TROON. Gareth Armstrong rose highest to head home the opening goal at Portland Park six minutes from the break. Stevie Wilson ladded the second goal on 52 minutes.
