Police hunt for attacker

Police in Dalkeith are appealing for information following a report of a serious assault in Newtongrange.

The incident took place between 6am and 7am on Sunday, February 2, in Bryans Wood.

A 29-year-old man was attacked and sustained injuries to his chest, face and hand.

A member of the public had stopped to help the victim in the Bryans Road area. He was subsequently taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
