EAST KILBRIDE kept their unbeaten run going with a 1-0 win over BERWICK RANGERS, but it was a goal five minutes from time that clinched all three points. Paul Paton set up the winner when he crossed to Chris Erskine, who volleyed home. Ten minutes earlier, Berwick were reduced to 10 men when Craig Reid was red-carded for two quick yellows.

KELTY HEARTS made it three wins in a row as they beat DALBEATTIE STAR 2-0, but the visitors made it difficult for them and defended well after losing two early goals. Grant Anderson put Kelty ahead on nine minutes with a debutant goal and, in the 22nd minute, Jamie Stevenson got a second. It looked as if Kelty would repeat their 9-0 win in last year’s corresponding fixture, but Star defended well and Jack Steele almost pulled one back on 55 minute with a shot which went narrowly over.

Newcomers BO’NESS UNITED are top on goal difference after a 2-0 win over CALEDONIAN BRAVES, with both goals coming late. Craig Comrie finally broke the deadlock on 65 minutes and, on 83 minutes left, Ryan Stevenson hit No. 2 from a penalty .

BSC GLASGOW got a 3-0 win over GRETNA 2008 thanks to two early goal. Ross Lyon hit the opener on 11 minutes and Ryan Tierney doubled their tally 10 minutes later. Then Jamie Hamilton made sure of the points with a 56th-minute strike.

STIRLING UNI made it three wins in a row with a 4-1 win over VALE OF LEITHEN. They got the quickest goal of the day when Jamie Penker scored in 90 seconds and Jason Jarvis got a second on 26 minutes. Penker made it 3-0 after the turn and, although Brad Rixon pulled one back soon after, Euan Baird got No. 4 late on.

GALA FAIRYDEAN ROVERS got a 3-1 win over CIVIL SERVICE STROLLERS. Ross Aitchison put them ahead on the hour, but Connor Young levelled soon after. Then Scott Taylor Mackenzie and Ross Aitchison hit two goals in 10 minutes to clinch the points.

CUMBERNAULD COLTS beat struggling EDINBURGH UNI 3-0 with William Mortimer and Scott Davidson giving them a 2-0 interval lead and Stephen O’neil added a late third.

In the South Region Challenge Cup, BONNYRIGG ROSE beat NEWTONGRANGE 2-0 with goals from Jordan Smith and

Kyle Wilson.

The Highland League Cup final between BUCKIE THISTLE and ROTHES was postponed due to Kynoch Park being waterlogged. A previous booking has ruled out the Keith venue next weekend leaving the League Management Committee to consider their options. The new Covid tiered system has led to calls for them to hold off a further week in the hope that the low infection rates in Moray may yet see the potential for fans to attend the final.
