Safety measures during home visits

-

Since the outbreak of Covid19, many of ILAWS’ clients have asked for clarity about their procedures whilst they carry out essential estate planning work.

Tony Marchi, principal at ILAWS Scotland, said: “We will do whatever makes our clients comfortable and we will do what we can to give them peace of mind, about the virus and their future.”

Here are some of the safety measures:

1

Telephone appointments are an option for anyone in Scotland. All business would be concluded over the phone and documentation posted to the client.

2

All staff in offices and all estate planners who clients may deal with on a face-toface basis have strict hand washing policies to adhere to and always use sanitising gels before and after every appointment. (This is not new for ILAWS; it’s something they adopted many years ago).

3

Should ILAWS be visiting you in your home or you are in their offices, estate planners will be healthy and sanitised, will no longer shake hands with clients and will request that you use your own pen for any signatures.

4

Wherever possible estate planners will keep an appropriate distance from every client and face masks and disposable gloves will be worn by estate planners. If you have any further concerns; please let us know at the time of making the appointment. The team of Will writing and legal experts at ILAWS Scotland are now back conducting home visits, to arrange your appointment, in the comfort of your own home, call
