THE BIG QUESTIONS

-

I love a spot of online poker, so I’d like to know who has won most money at the table? – J

Most of the biggest earners in poker history are American, and top of the list is Bryn Kenney, who has won more than $56 million (£40m).

In 2016, Kenney received the largest single payout in live poker tournament history, bagging $20,563,324 (£16,890,509).

Top earning Brit is Stephen Chidwick, with winnings of $34m (£24m).

About 30 years ago, when I worked in a business, Sean Connery and his wife, Micheline, popped in. They were kind enough to autograph a card for me. I wonder if it has any worth? – H

Not very much, I’m afraid as, unlike many other A-list stars, Sir Sean was quite happy to give autographs. A quick look on online auction sites shows that his signature sells from as little as a few pounds.

However, if the Queen had walked in and signed a card for you, that would be worth at least £4,500.

But the most valuable signature belongs to the first US president, George Washington. His personal signed copy of the Constitution sold in 2012 for $9.8 million (£7m).

“The day hasn’t started until I’ve had black pudding,” my uncle always says, so I’d like to get him the biggest pud ever made. – B

The largest was made in Poland in 2014 and would have given quite a few breakfasts, as it was 226m (744ft) long!

Or maybe he would like to enter the World Black Pudding Throwing Championships, held in Ramsbottom, where you hurl Lancashire black puddings at a stack of Yorkshire puds.
