Judges Anna Campbell-jones, Michael Angus and Kate Spiers visit a farm steading conversion in Aberdeenshire, home to Ashleigh, her husband Elliot and their two sons. The family went through blood, sweat and tears, including a fire at the property, before they could complete the renovation.

Then, the trio inspect a 1900s apartment in Aberdeen. Owner Victoria’s refurbished home boasts a silver palette stretching over two floors.

The third contender is The Garden House in St Andrews. Owners Helen and Ben worked alongside an architect to design a home to fit their family – with the garden at the heart of it.
