The Big Six owners should be red-carded
£25 STAR LETTER
The billionaires behind the European Super League plan should hang their heads in shame – but they are probably beyond embarrassment.
If they had been ordered to come up with an idea that would alienate their own supporters and show that they had no idea about why people love football, they could not have done any better.
Obscenely rich men wanting to get even richer when the world is in such a state. I hope fans of their clubs turn their back for good. They don’t deserve their support. Robert Hutton, Arbroath
Brexit losses begin
After Brexit, out of London go 400 finance houses, taking jobs and £500 billion with them.
Could this be the start of a flood? AA Bullions, Leven
Charlie’s my darling
I’m looking forward to Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang coming to Scotland in a new book.
He always seems a bit depressed and put-upon. After a year of lockdown, he should fit right in. Alison Grieve, by email
Voting counts
So a reader says elections are pointless because, hey, everybody is going to vote for the SNP anyway! Strange logic. And here’s everyone thinking they could vote for whoever they liked!
Would the writer be remotely concerned if the party she supported was “certain to win comfortably”? Don’t think so.
And no, I’m not making a case for the SNP. Just trying to make sense of it all.

Go for gold
I did the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme over the years 1964/65 for the Gold Award having had Silver from the year before.
I was presented with my certificate at a Holyrood Palace presentation by HRH Prince Philip on July 2, 1965. The scheme is still very much enjoyed by youths both young and old today.

Not amoosed
It is dreadful to read about what has happened to Molly Moo Moo, the Highland cow. I always thought Molly was so like a doggy, such a loving pet she became.
It’s awful that she will now be paraded round a show ring after the lovely early life she had. Poor girl. Sylvia Mcclure, by email
What a waste, Boris
Boris Johnson spent £3 million on a room for daily briefings in Downing Street but has now changed his mind about it and no one is meant to question the waste of money.
Then you read about companies making millions from PPE contracts when they didn’t know the first thing about PPE? How many lives could have been transformed by all the wasted millions? It’s disgusting. Sandra Liddell, by email
Spring in the air
The birds in the park opposite my flat are singing their hearts out. I have never heard anything like it and makes me feel ready for spring. D Wallace, Edinburgh
