Vladimir Putin can be under no illusions that he surprised anyone with his attack on neighbouring Ukraine.
The eventual invasion was met with instant outrage and perhaps unsurprisingly, a flurry of podcasts.
The BBC were on the ball with Ukrainecast (BBC Sounds), a podcast, launched on the first day of the invasion. Hosts Victoria Derbyshire and Gabriel Gatehouse give daily updates on the conflict that only the BBC’S enormous resources can provide: they bring news, analysis and interviews with experts and even civilians on the ground.
