Disgusting MP should be prosecuted

-

I still can’t believe an MP was really watching pornography on the benches of the House of Commons but he shouldn’t just be allowed to resign. He should be prosecuted.

It’s awful for all sorts of reasons but is an act of sexual harassment. It’s him showing power over women MPS sitting near him, that he can do this with impunity.

It is appalling behaviour and whatever excused he makes for himself, I hope they throw the book at him. What a disgusting man.

I’d call him a pig but that would be doing pigs a disservice.

PM loses the plot

If Tory MPS really think Angela Rayner crossing her legs makes Boris Johnson lose his train of thought, it says an awful lot more about them and the Prime Minister than anyone else. What a stupid, offensive thing to say but the problem for them is that so many of us wouldn’t be a bit surprised. Ms A Mcculloch, Glasgow

Get back to work

Is anyone surprised the Passport Office is a shambles when everyone is working from home and nobody is getting their passports? The DVLA is the same. Their staff were all working from home even when they didn’t have the computers to do any work. It’s nonsense. Covid is being blamed for too much. It’s time the country got back to work. Dad’s tall sail tales

I enjoyed your story about the glass ships in bottles. It made me think of my dad who told us when we were wee that they were real ships crewed by tiny little sailors and the bottles used to be strung out of fishing boats to trap them. I still remember him on the beach at Millport telling us the seaweed with the big bubbles was actually full of rum and pirates would bite into it and have a drink. We obviously couldn’t resist trying it. He was such an annoying man. Kelly Cotton, Nottingham

Tuned in, turned off

After all the publicity, I ended up watching Piers Morgan Uncensored with the Donald Trump interviews. Two absolute blowhards, I wish it had been Piers Morgan Unbroadcast, to be honest. William Mitchell, Ayr

Return of a legend

I was delighted to read Mclevy was coming back to Radio 4. It’s a wonderful series and both Brian Cox and Siobhan Redmond are terrific in it. I’ve enjoyed catching up with all the old ones on iplayer and have recommended it to so many people but after all those years, I had no idea it was all based on a real-life detective in Edinburgh. You learn something new every day.

Driverless? Aaaargh

I couldn’t agree more with Judy Murray’s concern about driverless cars and buses. Just the thought of it gives me the heebie-jeebies but, for some reason, it made me think of the old gag: “I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my dear old father... not screaming in terror like his passengers.”
