SAUCHIE missed a chance to make the final of the Traderadia­tors Challenge Cup when they lost 3-1 to AUCHINLECK TALBOT. The Ayrshire side took a two-goal lead through early goals from Dwayne Hyslop and Graham Wilson. Sauchie pulled one back through Ross Kavanagh, but Talbot booked their place in the final with a third from Jamie Glasgow.

LINLITHGOW ROSE were 3-1 winners over LTHV in the League Cup. Sean Heaver gave Rose the lead on 10 minutes and he added a second in 30 minutes. The visitors pulled one back before the break, but Alan Docherty made sure for the hosts with their third, five minutes after the restart.

BROXBURN left it late before clinching a win

over INVERKEITH­ING. It looked like ending goalless, but, with three minutes to go, Jackson Barker popped in a winner for Broxburn.

WHITEHILL WELFARE were 3-1 winners over LEITH ATHLETIC. Goals from Ryan Weir and Ewan

Mckinlay put Welfare in a strong position. Leith pulled one back, but Weir struck again to give the visitors victory.

TRANENT were in top form against WHITBURN and ended up convincing 6-0 winners, with five of the goals coming in the second half.

HADDINGTON made their exit from the League Cup when an Aiden Walsh goal in the first half was good enough to give PENICUIK a 1-0 victory.

CROSSGATES took the lead through Archie Campbell against DRUMCHAPEL UNITED in the Challenge Shield, but the hosts levelled, then scored a winner with 10 minutes to go.

In the only Premier match played, DUNDONALD BLUEBELL picked up three points with a 2-1 win at DUNBAR. Goals from Barry Sibanda and Colin Wilson gave the Fifers a two-goal lead and, even though Darren Smith pulled one back from a penalty on the hour mark, Dundonald held on to take the points.
