Army scam warning
Police have warned of an email scam claiming to be from a former senior Ukrainian army officer.
The message purporting to be from General Volodymyr Kravchenko appeals for help in facilitating payments of $1.2 billion for military equipment.
Police Scotland warned: “We have to keep reminding the public to be on the alert to potential scam messages.”
The Chartered Trading Standards Institute in Scotland cautioned people not to open any links it might contain.
