Radio silence
IT has often been said that Kezia Dugdale has the toughest job in politics. Between disastrous poll ratings and struggling to land a blow on the SNP, the Scottish Labour leader might welcome some solidarity from her party colleagues.
No such luck. Labour stalwart Baroness Kennedy, a guest on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour this week, was full of praise for Scotland’s female political leaders.
She name-checked Tory Ruth Davidson and described Ms Sturgeon as a “fantastic” First Minister. Not a word on Ms Dugdale, however.
