Tot gets lost teddy back after Facebook appeal

-

A FOUR- year- old boy can sleep easy again after supermarket staff reunited him with his teddy – three months after he lost it.

Little Niko Kruk thought he’d never see his favourite teddy bear again after he misplaced it while out shopping with mum Magda before Christmas.

The bear, which has a hearing aid, holds huge sentimental value as it has been in the family for 20 years.

Magda thought they’d lost the treasured item but thankfully staff at Asda in Govan held on to it in the hope they could track down its owner.

And their hopes came true when a Facebook appeal about it was shared more than 11,000 times – finally reaching Niko’s mum last week.

Niko is now reunited with his teddy and is over the moon. Magda, 34, who lives in Glasgow, said: “Niko hides toys so he can play hide and seek with them.

“I thought he had just hid Teddy at first but then realised it was lost.

“I was asking everyone if they had seen it. It wasn’t until I was on Facebook and spotted the post that I found out where it was. I thought, ‘Oh my God, that’s Niko’s teddy’.

“I took Niko to pick it up and he recognised him straight away and started pointing his finger at the cabinet where his teddy was being kept.”

The distinctive bear was one of a limited number to comfort kids with hearing impairments. Magda’s mum Teresa got it from a batch she was given in her job as an audiologist in Poland.
